Aina Alegre approaches choreographic creation
as a medium for exploring new ways of imagining the body. Influenced by fiction as both a genre and a practice, her work explores the body within visual environments, and her style is closely tied to rhythm and music.
STUDIES is a research and performance project conceived in 2018 around the action of hammering and the memory this gesture contains.
STUDIES is the gathering of people and territories as well as the collection of stories, practices and dances linked to the gestures and sounds of hammering. A work based on memory, archives and the spoken word as a choreographic driving force.
