"This piece, composed as a trio of dance, sound and light, is an archaeological and sonic investigation of movement. However different the shows I create may be, I pursue an obsession with bodies that hammer, that set themselves in rhythm, and that seek to reveal the invisible part of movement.
In R-A-U-X-A, the body enters into repetition, vibration and pulsation. For this project, I draw on an ancient and future memory of movements and sounds containing the hammering, driving gesture to enter new physical and temporal dimensions. I compose a hybrid dance in which the body, light, electro-acoustic and modular music enter into dialogue, bringing together archaic and technological materials to build a sound architecture and a sensory world.
