With the Jeune Ballet, Aina Alegre is developing the notion of SWING that inhabits her work. Swing is a rhythmic quality, a jazz musical movement, a dance style for couples and groups, but it is also the English translation of the word balancer. The notions of balance, rhythm, weight and counterweight are central to this creation. It also draws on actions such as walking, running or jumping as the driving force behind the choreographic material to compose a piece that reveals the group as an entity of energy, rhythm and interdependence of bodies.
