With her choreographic series Histoire(s) Décoloniale(s) Betty Tchomanga continues her exploration of the narratives and stories that connect the West and Africa. Each episode explores colonial history and its legacy through the lens of a unique story, a body, or a lived experience. 

This portrait is a dialogue between Adélaïde and Mulunesh that approaches history through the lens of a void and loss. How are power dynamics and discrimination reenacted through the journey of transnational and transracial adoption? How does the experience of discrimination shape the history of certain bodies? How do we construct our identities when memories fade? How do we reconstruct a history from silence?
