A double bill presented by the Grenoble National Choreographic Center, inviting audiences on a journey through dance and music from the Middle Atlas to the Alps, as part of the Balcons du Dauphiné’s “Saison partagée.”
Conceived in collaboration with Marie Pons, this evening’s program is inspired by the encounters and conversations that unfolded during the writing of *Journal des Terres froides* in the Vals and the Balcons du Dauphiné.

Filipe Lourenço
Introduced to Maghreb dances and Arab-Andalusian music from childhood, Filipe Lourenço approaches traditional dances as a heritage to be reinvented. With *Amazigh in situ*, he focuses on the ahidous, a group dance of the Berber tribes of the Middle Atlas, accompanied by singing and percussion, and performed at celebrations, weddings, or rituals. Drawing on this ancestral form, the choreographer transforms tradition into a space for creation, empowerment, and collective listening.

Ribamb’Alp
The evening will continue with a folk dance party featuring the group Ribamb’Alp, which performs lively, joyful folk music—both vocal and instrumental. Their repertoire blends solo and group dances from the Alps, various regions of France, and beyond. Echoing the performance, certain dances inspired by the ahidous will punctuate the ball, led by the performers themselves. This dialogue between the worlds of choreography and music will extend the sensory experience of the show, circulating movements, rhythms, and energy in a festive and participatory moment.
