Dance specialism

Since 2002, the Grenoble National Choreographic Center has been the cultural partner for the dance specialty program for 11th and 12th graders at Stendhal High School in Grenoble.

For high school students, the Grenoble National Choreographic Center offers 11th- and 12th-grade students practical and theoretical workshops, meetings with choreographers and dancers, as well as follow-up activities related to the works on the Baccalaureate curriculum.

Between 2023 and 2026, students explored a variety of dance styles—hip-hop, krump, contact dance, and modern dance—and worked on group creations and repertoire pieces, including FUGACES by Aina Alegre, various interpretations of Swan Lake, and works by Maguy Marin and Odile Duboc.

The students’ work is showcased annually during public performances at the MC2: Maison de la culture or at the Pacifique CDCN, providing opportunities to engage with a wider audience and put their acquired skills into practice.
