JEUNES EN MONTAGNE
An artistic camp for 11-14 year olds based on the discovery of movement arts and community life. This proposal lies at the crossroads of artistic, educational and environmental issues. It is supported and co-constructed by a multi-disciplinary team with cross-disciplinary skills, made up of artists and people from the popular education and animation sectors.
The 2024 edition has been conceived with artists Marcela Santander Corvalán and Luara Raio. While drawing on their respective practices - dance, song, theater - they will explore with the young participants the themes of water and glaciers, which will be at the heart of this school of imagination.
On the program: studio workshops, mountain outings, glacier discovery with a guide, meeting with glaciologist Lucas Davaze, collective living time and quieter moments for oneself.
No need to have a specific practice, just the desire to discover artistic universes and spend time together.
Marcela Santander Corvalán is a dancer and choreographer from Chile. She sees her next creation as a dialogue with water, oceans and glaciers, activating a whole imaginary world linked to this natural element, a source of poetic and choreographic inspiration. Waters carry the memory of the world, but also our intimate memories.
Luara Raio is a Brazilian performer, dancer, choreographer and funk singer. She trained in the performing arts between Brazil, Portugal and France. Her artistic research explores the theme of animality, as well as the myths and rituals that are part of her culture and lend her work an element of mystery and spirituality.
