Since its inception Dibbouk—born out of a deeply personal upheaval, the sudden death of his father in 2022—Philippe Lebhar has created a space for exploration and sharing centered on grief, memory, and identity. 

Drawing on the physical sensations associated with grief, participants will explore the body’s memory: how memories take root within us, how gestures, impulses, and traces of our histories and traditions emerge. Through movement, breathing, and group singing, participants will journey together through what defines us: our legacies, our fragments, and our multifaceted identities. Everyone will be free to engage at their own pace, within a supportive, respectful, and confidential setting. This is not a therapeutic space, but a time for shared creation, where individual experience nourishes a collective, sensitive, and living body of work.

Philippe Lebhar, a graduate of the CNSMD in Lyon, is a dancer, choreographer, and creative assistant. After making his debut with Andy Degroat and Lena Josefsson at Skånes Dansteater (Sweden), he has collaborated with numerous choreographers in France and across Europe, including Jean-Claude Gallotta, Angelin Preljocaj, Béatrice Massin, Radhouane El Meddeb, and Gaëlle Bourges. He has also developed work that blends performance and improvised composition. *Dibbouk*is his first choreographic work.
