The Centre chorégraphique national de Grenoble was the first national choreographic center created in 1984 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture and its then Minister Jack Lang. It is part of a network of 19 centers in different regions of France. They are members of the Association des centers chorégraphiques nationaux(ACCN). Since its creation, it has been located in the MC2: Maison de la culture de Grenoble, with premises dedicated to its permanent activity:
